CC3302 / CC3303 Smart TV Device
The CC3302 and CC3303 devices are members of C2 Microsystems’ Tango 3 third generation family of devices for Internet Television and related applications. They are based on an innovative media processor architecture that is optimized for next-generation high-definition broadcast services and broadband rich media applications. CC3302 accepts multi-standard audio and video from digital and analog sources. It decodes all broadcast formats and the widest variety of Internet content formats, and performs high quality audio post-processing and video de-interlacing, scaling and post-processing for display on a directly connected high definition TV display panel. CC3303 adds support for video calling and video chat. Both devices have a dual-core Symmetric Multiprocessor (SMP) which, with hardware acceleration of graphics operations, delivers very high applications processing performance.

Software
The Media Processor software architecture is based on the Linux operating system and associated open source projects for graphics, networking and file system / storage middleware. The hard real time audio and video stream processing is encapsulated in a pluggable Media Framework, resulting in a robust media processing subsystem that can be extended as new codecs are added or stream processing requirements change.
