2009/04/20: TCL selects C2 Microsystems CC1100 Media Processor for MiTV Internet TV
Beijing, China and San Jose, California, April 20, 2009: TCL has selected the CC1100 media processor for its MiTV Internet TV X9 series of network-connected television products, C2 Microsystems, Inc. announced today. Using the CC1100 media processor allows TCL to deliver to consumers the ability to access video and audio from an attached USB device, across the home network or remotely over the internet using P2P distribution, all within a simple to use interface on the television.
The CC1100 media processor combines broad media format support with high application processing performance in a complete silicon and software solution for consumer electronics applications. It is particularly well suited to applications involving the delivery of content over the internet where standards are always evolving.
