Dr Jinxiang (Gene) Liu, Chief Executive Officer
Dr Liu joined C2 Microsystems as President and CEO in April 2006. Prior to joining C2, Dr Liu was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the DVD division and General Manager of the Asia Pacific region of Zoran, a Nasdaq listed company. He founded Zoran's Chinese subsidiary in 1997 and its Asia Pacific subsidiary in 2000. During his tenure, Zoran's APAC annual revenue grew to more than $400M and its revenue from DVD products to more than $250M annually. Before joining Zoran, Dr Liu was a research scientist at Park Scientific Instruments. Dr Liu has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Beijing University and a Ph.D from the University of Minnesota.
DR Chenchi Kuo, General Manager, Vice President of VLSI Engineering
Mr Kuo joined C2 Microsystems in January 2005 and has held a number of engineering and management positions. Prior to C2, he was an architect at Intel working on the Intel Itanium Multiprocessor, IXP Network Processor, and other multimedia processor designs. Mr Kuo has Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from National Taiwan University, a Master of Science degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a PhD from the University of Utah.
Bo Liu, Vice President of Software and Applications
Mr Liu joined C2 Microsystems in July 2009 from Magnum Semiconductor, where he served as vice president of applications engineering. Prior to Magnum, he was vice president of software engineering at MediaTek China and CrystalMedia (MediaTek USA) and vice president of software development at Tvia, Inc. He also held lead software engineering positions at Micronics Computers and Oak Technology. Mr. Liu earned a BSEE from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China and was awarded an MSEE from Wichita State University, Kansas. He was also a Ph.D candidate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Daniel Wong, Vice President of Operations
Mr Wong joined C2 in July 2009 from PowerLayer Microsystems where he served as Vice President of Operations. Mr Wong has held various design and operations management positions at several start-up companies including Macronix (Taiwan), Trident, ESS Technology, Neomagic and TVIA. He also spent 8 years at Intel as a key designer on the Intel 80286, 80386SX, 80486 and 80586 devices. Mr Wong has more than 28 years of experience in the semiconductor business. Mr Wong has a Bachelor’s degree in EECS from the University of California Berkeley and a Master’s degree in EECS from the University of Santa Clara.
Neil Bullock, Senior Director of Marketing
Mr Bullock joined C2 Microsystems in June 2008 from Magnum Semiconductor, where he was leading product management for Magnum's Media Processor family. Mr Bullock joined C-Cube Microsystems in 1999 and had product marketing responsibility for STBs, DVRs and DVD Recorders at C-Cube and LSI. He launched the first single chip HDD+DVD Recorder device in 2003 and the Domino[X] H.264/VC-1 advanced media processor architecture in 2006. He also created the DVFX video quality brand and website and has published a number of white papers.
Bin Lei, Senior Director of Worldwide Sales and Business Development
Mr Lei has extensive worldwide sales, business development and product marketing experience in embedded video, digital media consumer products, and internet media technologies. Prior to C2, Mr. Lei held senior positions at ArcSoft Inc, Walt Disney Internet Group, iBeam Broadcasting Corp and other Silicon Valley media and entertainment companies. Mr. Lei established strategic relationships with media entertainment leaders and global CE companies such as HP, Epson, MTV, Panasonic, Walt Disney, Sony, Samsung and Nokia and supported them throughout the product cycle. Mr. Lei has a BS in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
Elvis Liu, Director of Finance and Finance Controller
Elvis Liu has a Master’s degree from Beijing University and he is a Chinese CPA, a member of the Canadian CPA and a member of the US CFAs. Mr Liu has many years' experience with multinational accounting firms such as PwC and ACCESS.
