Dr Jinxiang (Gene) Liu, Chief Executive Officer
Dr Liu joined C2 Microsystems as President and CEO in April 2006. Prior to joining C2, Dr Liu was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the DVD division and General Manager of the Asia Pacific region of Zoran, a Nasdaq listed company. He founded Zoran's Chinese subsidiary in 1997 and its Asia Pacific subsidiary in 2000. During his tenure, Zoran's APAC annual revenue grew to more than $400M and its revenue from DVD products to more than $250M annually. Before joining Zoran, Dr Liu was a research scientist at Park Scientific Instruments. Dr Liu has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Beijing University and a Ph.D from the University of Minnesota.
ELVIS LIU, Director of Finance
Elvis Liu joined C2 Microsystems as Director of Finance in August 2008. He was previously finance director of ACCESS China and he successfully facilitated several rounds of fundraising for the company. Prior to ACCESS China, Mr Liu was the Senior Auditor of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. During this period, Mr Liu successfully participated in and led the IPO audit work of China Netcom Group, which is listed on both the US and HK capital markets. Mr Liu holds an MBA degree from Richard Ivey School of Business. He is a CICPA, CGA and CFA.
DR Chenchi Kuo, General Manager, Vice President of VLSI Engineering
Dr Kuo joined C2 Microsystems in January 2005 and has held a number of engineering and management positions. Prior to C2, he was an architect at Intel working on the Intel Itanium Multiprocessor, IXP Network Processor, and other multimedia processor designs. Dr Kuo has Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from National Taiwan University, a Master of Science degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a PhD from the University of Utah.Bo Liu, Vice President of Software and Applications
Mr Liu joined C2 Microsystems in July 2009 from Magnum Semiconductor, where he served as vice president of applications engineering. Prior to Magnum, he was vice president of software engineering at MediaTek China and CrystalMedia (MediaTek USA) and vice president of software development at Tvia, Inc. He also held lead software engineering positions at Micronics Computers and Oak Technology. Mr. Liu earned a BSEE from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China and was awarded an MSEE from Wichita State University, Kansas. He was also a Ph.D candidate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
MARK PAI, VICE PRESIDENT of Worldwide Sales
Mr Pai joined C2 Microsystems in December 2010. He has extensive worldwide sales and business development experience in embedded video and digital media consumer products. Prior to C2, Mr Pai was responsible for Business Development for Auvitek (acquired by Microtune / Zoran). He also held senior management positions at ESS Technology and Sandmartin Group.
